While you were snuggled in your bed last night, a new challenge made it’s way social media and spread like wildfire. Was it another fire challenge? Were people putting their lips in jars? Were kids raising up demons again? Nope! This time women joined in on a challenge that literally had their asses out. The #ArchThatBackChallenge is a challenge in which women literally posted videos and pictures of them arching their back in a sexual position. #JesusComingBackSoon
While this is not a rant on women choosing to post their bodies on social media for the pleasures of others. It goes deeper than that for me, a lot of these women were not even women they were young girls. A page created on instagram is highlighting the girls/women who are choosing to participate in the challenge. S,o you get your ass shot picture re-posted and then what? What in the hell are we teaching our kids? Why do they need attention this bad that they are willing to do basically anything (and to me posting your ass up on social media for the world to see is classified as anything).
This has nothing to do with feminism so miss me with that argument, this also does not have anything to do with freedom of choice or self expression (because we all know they have a right to post whatever they want). It’s more or less an observation on just how crazed our generation has become for attention and to become “insta-famous.” The motivation behind the posting of the pictures are more alarming than the pictures themselves (believe it or not your favorite pop artist probably has a couple of arched poses on display). We are bugging out, we are living in a time where there are no rules, we are making them up as we go and that is scary. Nobody is going by a set of core values or morals, we want to do something that may be questionable we tag it up with “freedom of expression” and use that to justify any and everything. Some women were angry and made videos and others poked fun, we covered it all, except for the women who did the challenge…check it out below…

What are your thoughts on the #ArchThatBackChallenge? Do you think its merely women empowering themselves or just doing it for a couple likes and a few dm’s???
