The 21 Day Fix
As summer comes to a close, I found a new three-week diet plan called The 21 Day Fix! My uncle started doing it at the beginning of the summer and challenged my mom and me to find out who could lose more weight. So I thought why not, I’m up for any challenge!
The 21 Day Fix sets up a way to portion the amount of food you eat depending on how many calories you want to intake each day. For example, I’m consuming 1,500-1,799 calories a day, so I have 4 cups of protein and vegetables, 3 cups of fruit and carbs/starch, 1 cup of oil/dressing and dairy and 5 teaspoons of any butter or oil. You just spread out what you’re going to have for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Viola! You are doing the fix!
You would be surprised to realize how much 2 cups of vegetables or protein is until you actually measure your food out. I realized over the last week that I usually have been under eating at dinnertime and that I over eat at lunchtime. But the one thing I like about this diet is that it gives you a list of foods that you can eat (and trust me there are ALOT), so you can really enjoy what you’re eating.
The main problem with me doing some other diets before is that I could never enjoy what I was eating and with this I can enjoy every last bit of it!
